Cartridges

Filtreri sells wound filter cartridges for in-depth filtration. This is an economical choice that can be used in many areas.
Wound filter cartridges have progressively smaller and more numerous pores between the fibres as you move towards the centre. This growing structure stops the larger particles in the outer part. Smaller particles are captured as they pass through the tortuous passages in the filter wall.

They are made from the following materials, depending on your application:

• Bleached cotton
• Calcined fibreglass
• Polyester
• Washed polypropylene
• Unwashed polypropylene

Depending on the material used, the maximum operating temperature can be as high as 400°C.

Filtreri presents metal filter cartridges made of stainless steel. These cartridges are resistant to chemical attack with their very acid PH.

They are available in two configurations:

• Pleated
• Smooth

These washable cartridges are recommended for food and chemical products, or when temperature constraints are important.
The main advantage of smooth cartridges is that they are easy to wash.

Pleated cartridges can be used to increase the flow rate or reduce the frequency of cleaning.

For the most severe requirements (acid or very acid pH), they are also available in 304 L or 316 L stainless steel.

Pleated filter cartridges have been designed for high-flow filtration. Thanks to the pleating, they offer a large filtration surface, which means they last longer than wound or heat-welded filter cartridges.
Pleated filter cartridges are available with different cages:

• Rigid
• Semi-rigid
• Flexible

Pleated cartridges have a low pressure drop and high contaminant retention. They are an excellent choice for many processes, particularly:

• Water treatment
• Food processing – FDA certification
• Chemicals

Heat-welded cartridges offer deep filtration at high flow rates without fibre release. They are ideal for deep pre-filtration before the final filtration stage. Heat-sealed polypropylene microfibre cartridges offer consistent filtration throughout their life, generating a superior quality of fluid. They are particularly recommended for the food and chemical industries.
